Dr. Y.M. Basha, M.D.
Since 1980, Basha Diagnostics, P.C.’s innovative practice of delivering medical diagnostic imaging has revolutionized the way patients and physicians approach medical imaging and results.  Dr. Basha, the founder and President of Basha Diagnostics, combines the caring attitude of a physician with innovative thinking to create four diagnostic centers that answer a profound need to provide sophisticated medical testing without compromising patient care and comfort.
 

Dr. Basha completed his Internship in Radiology at Mount Carmel Hospital in Detroit and his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He served as the Chief Radiologist at both Memorial Medical Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan as well as Oakdale Medical Center in Lapeer, Michigan.  Then he incorporated Basha Diagnostics into a multi-site diagnostic company, where he has been.

Dr. Basha’s achievements in the medical field led him to be appointed to the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) for the United States Department of Education in Washington DC, where he served from 2002 until 2005.  His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the Oakland County Medical Society. 


Dr. Ruth G. Ramsey, M.D.

Dr. Ruth Ramsey, M.D., one of the nation’s top Neuroradiologists, joins Basha Diagnostics, P.C. with over thirty years of experience from the country’s premier hospitals and universities.

Board Certified in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and Board Certified with Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology, Dr. Ruth G. Ramsey received her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and her residency in Radiology at Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital –Northwestern University, in Chicago.  She completed a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and she received two impressive appointments as Professor of Radiology at Rush Medical College and Professor of Radiology and Head of Neuroradiology at the University of Chicago.  Since 2000, she has been the Medical Director of Premier Health Systems MRI of River North in Chicago and Clinical Professor of Radiology, Neuroradiology Section, at the University of Illinois Medical School.

Dr. Ramsey has been Chairman and Consultant to the FDA Drugs and Contrast Committee, Secretary and Assistant Treasurer of the Illinois Radiological Society, she is on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Radiological Society, and she is a member of the RadioGraphics Selection Panel on Neuroradiology for the RSNA.  Dr. Ramsey’s impressive accolades also include an appointment as an American Board of Radiology Guest Examiner and she is a Reviewer for the Journal American Society of Neuroradiology.

Her previous appointments included President of the Illinois Radiological Society, Vice President of the American College of Radiology, and Chairman of the Local Technical Exhibits and member of the Radiographics Section Panel on Neuroradiology for the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).


Richard M. Chesbrough, M.D

Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Chesbrough is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his Residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center and University of California San Diego, San Diego, California, specializing in Diagnostic Radiology.  He completed several postdoctoral training stints including Children’s Hospital and Health Center in San Diego specializing in Pediatric Radiology, University of California San Diego specializing in Musculoskeletal Radiology, and Henry Ford Health System in Mammography.  

Dr. Chesbrough’s former accolades include Commander of the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, Assistant Professor at George Washington University’s School of Medicine, Associate Professor at Case Western University School of Medicine, and Associate Professor at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine.

Dr. Chesbrough’s impressive hospital appointments included Director of Pediatric Radiology at Naval Hospital San Diego, Director of Musculoskeletal Radiology and Pediatric Radiology at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan, and Acting Head of Breast Imaging, Quality Assurance Committee, and Residency Education Committee in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Henry Ford Health System.  He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Straith Hospital in Southfield, Michigan and the Medical Director of Radiology Medical Consultants.

Dr. R. Sazgari, M.D.
Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Sazgari is a graduate of Wayne State University’s School of Medicine and completed his Internship at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan.  Dr. Sazgari completed his Residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Diagnostic Radiology, where he was Chief Resident on staff and completed his Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Colorado.  In addition to Basha Diagnostics, where he specializes in Musculoskeletal Radiology, Dr. Sazgari is currently Radiology Department Head at Oakland Regional Hospital.  Dr. Sazgari’s professional memberships include the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Skeletal Radiology and the Michigan State Medical Society.

Dr. Christopher Sweet, M.D.
Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology, Dr. Sweet graduated from Wayne State University with a Master of Science of Biology and a Doctorate of Medicine “With High Distinction”.  He went on to complete his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by a Fellowship in Neuroradiology, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  Dr. Sweet’s impressive appointments include Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology for the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University as well as a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Orthopedics at Michigan State.  In addition to Basha Diagnostics, Dr. Sweet is Staff Neuroradiologist at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan and practices radiology for several area diagnostic centers.


Dr. F. Salahi, M.D., F.A.C.C.
With impressive hospital affiliations at William Beaumont Hospital, Crittenton Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy of Macomb Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy of Oakland Hospital, and his own private cardiology practice, Dr. Salahi joins Basha Diagnostics, P.C. with an equally impressive academic background as well.  Dr. Salahi completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and completed a Clinical Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, an Invasive Cardiology Fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Nuclear Cardiology Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Salahi went on to become an Instructor in Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a Research Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Salahi is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.

Dr. Peter M. Nefcy, M.D., PH.D
Dr. Peter Nefcy received his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and his Ph.D. and Doctorate of Medicine from Wayne State University. Dr. Nefcy’s impressive postgraduate training includes Residency in both Neurology and Radiology at Wayne State University, where he received the Distinguished Service Award, a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, and a stint as Adjunct Assistant Professor for Wayne State’s College of Engineering. His impressive accolades include receiving American Board of Radiology Certification in Diagnostic Radiology, a second certification in Diagnostic Radiology with Special Competence in Nuclear Medicine, and finally American Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine.

Dr. S. Jafri, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Jafri joins Basha Diagnostics, P.C. with an impressive four national board certifications, as he is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and Board Certified by the National Board of Echocardiography.  Dr. Jafri completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Jafri later joined S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, New York, where h became Chief Resident, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to Basha Diagnostics, Dr. Jafri is affiliated with several area hospitals including Henry Ford Hospital, St. Mary Mercy Hospital, and Oakwood Hospital.

Dr. Alan Hartz, M.D.
American Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Alan Hartz received his Doctorate of Medicine and completed his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  He went on to complete a Fellowship in Cross-Sectional Imaging at Wayne State and the Detroit Medical Center.  Dr. Hartz’s impressive accolades include President of Diagnostic Radiology Associates of Flint, Associate Chairman of the Department of Radiology and Chairman of the Quality Improvement Committee for the McLaren Regional Medical Center (MRMC).  Dr. Hartz sits on the Multidisciplinary Trauma Committee and Credentials Committee for the MRMC, and he ranked in the top 10% in the Diagnostic Radiology Written Boarda Examination.

Dr. Ibrahim Jawad, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Jawad joins Basha Diagnostics, P.C. with Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease. After earning is Doctorate in Medicine from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Jawad went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the American University in Beirut as well as complete an Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University affiliated hospitals in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Jawad’s accolades include a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he has published an impressive number of books, abstracts and presentations, as well as hospital appointments at Harper Hospital, Detroit Receiving Hospital, Hutzel Hospital, and Cardiology consultant work at several private practices.

Dr. A. Rayes, M.D.
Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, Dr. Rayes completed his Residency in Neurology at Wayne State University’s College of Medicine. Dr. Rayes went on to become appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Wayne State, where he completed several publications and studies.  His hospital appointments include Harper-Grace Hospital and William Beaumont Hospital in Troy.

Dr. Isaias S. Villarosa, M.D.
A veteran Radiologist at Basha Diagnostics, P.C., Dr. Isaias Villarosa completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Wayne State University with special emphasis and training in Mammography.  Dr. Villarosa is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology, and his professional appointments include Grace Hospital in Detroit, where he was chief of the Mammography section and received a prestigious Physician Recognition Award, DMC Primary Care Center, and a number of private radiology clinics.

Dr. Z. Mahjoub, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Mahjoub joins Basha Diagnostics with an impressive postgraduate training at Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Englewood Hospital, New Jersey, a Research Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology at Harvard Medical School, and a Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology and a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Mahjoub is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, and obtained a third extraordinary American Board Certification for added qualifications in Interventional Cardiology.
